Do you own a business that sells a low priced item over and over to the same customers. Examples are: cup of coffee, bagel, ice cream cones, smoothie, hair cut, shave, etc. Print punch cards. You can buy blank business card stock at the stantionary store and print them on your computer printer. Print them to values around 10.00 - $30.00. If a cup of coffee is $3.00 then print the picture of 6 small cups on the card to equal a value of $18.00. You can also print puch cards with a value good towards anything in your store. Print the puch cards with 6 - $3.00's on them for a value of $18.00 or 5 - $5.00 = $25.00.
$3.00 $3.00 $3.00
$3.00 $3.00 $3.00
Remember to print your business name, phone number, and address on the back of the card. Expiration dates are not legal in California. I would not recomend you put an expiration date on the card.
Customers can bring the punch card into your store to buy one cup of coffee and you punch out one picture on the card and give the card back to them.
Punch cards can be used the same as cash. Keep a stack of puch cards with you at all times. You can trade them for services you need. Trade them when you need your car repaired, dental work, nails done, hair cut, etc. Use them intead of a cash tip. Combine them with part cash and part puch cards as payment. Each time you bring out your check book ask if you can pay with your puch cards.
The reason you want to keep the total value low is becasue many business owners like to use them as employee incentives/bonuses or as a gifts to their customers. From my experiance $10-$30 is the best range.
We sell thousands of dollars of script, gift certificates, puch cards, tickets each year with Barter Bucks. We never have enough script for the demand becasuse they can easly be traded or given away for gifts. Every business should have a supply of scipt avaiable at all time.
You can also sell puch cards for cash in your store. Post signs on the front of your cash register offering puch cards for sale. Train your employees to sell the puch cards to your customers. Remember each time you sell a puch card you will earn 30%-50% more becasue of breakage (a percentage of all cards will be lost).
