Tomos Moped

So you have made it to Hawaii, but have you given any consideration to how you are going to get around to see the sights that are there waiting for you? Well there are a few options that you can use for Hawaii travel for exploring this spectacular island and experiencing the freedom and privacy of being by yourselves.

The most obvious and the most convenient is renting a car, but in some of the cities traffic can get a little harrowing. Keep in mind that Honolulu boasts the only freeways in Hawaii and the pace can be furious, so maybe this is not the way to go when you're trying to find a little rest and relaxation. If your intentions are to avoid the cities, it may prove to be one of the most serene drives you will ever experience. If you are just planning to stay close to your hotel, then maybe your best option would be to have the hotel's courtesy van drive you where you need to go, but if it's an adventure into the unknown then a car rental would be a good choice.

There is also an advantage with a moped. They are fun to get around on and they can go places that cars can't, but if you're planning on driving upcountry these will not be efficient for this kind of trip, but they will take you to secluded spots on the leeward western side very easily. If you try to use a moped on the opposite side it can pretty well wear you out trying to drive in the wind that blows there.

Another option is a motorcycle, which can be very refreshing and will get you from point A to point B with no problem. You still have to be aware of the traffic you may have to contend with and again the wind would be a factor on a motorcycle. Remember that getting around the Big Island is not so easy as one may think. You have 4000 square miles to cover if you're going to cover it all. The best thing is to decide first how you would like to cover this area in the easiest way possible.
